Barnett River Gudgeon
With the exception of the outlying population of Hypseleotris kimberleyensis captured by Allen and Leggett (1990) in the Calder River, the species appears to be restricted to the Barnett River and Manning Creek in the upper Fitzroy River catchment ( Fig. 43) ( Allen & Allen 1998, Morgan et al. 2002, 2004a). This small, cryptic species is especially abundant at Manning Creek Gorge and Barnett River Gorge ( Morgan et al. 2002, 2004a).
