= Callistomimus garouaensis Kirschenhofer, 2008: 90 View in CoL syn. nov.

From the original description of Callistomimus garouaensis View in CoL , is clearly evident that this taxon was wrongly attributed by Kirschenhofer (2008) to the genus Callistomimus Chaudoir, 1872 View in CoL , and it is conspecific with Chlaenius (Callistochrous) baxii , species widely distributed in West Africa ( Burkina Faso, Mali, Mauritania, Senegal) and very variable in its elytral pattern. Here is recorded for Cameroon for the first time.
