Male: Head. Frons brown, broader than length, with sparse hairs. First row of bristles straight, antials about twice as far apart as either is from an antero-lateral. Second row of bristles straight, all four bristles being at almost equidistance. Postpedicels brownish yellow, globose, slightly pointed. Pre-apical arista long, with small hairs. Palp yellow, 4 times as long as its width, with 5 apical bristles. Thorax. Scutum dark brown. Scutellum with 2 bristles and 2 short hairs, which are less than 1/2 of the bristles. Wing length 2.86mm. Costal index 0.52, Costal ratios 11.0:4.27:1. Costal cilia 0.02mm. Veins brown and membrane pale. Halter whitish yellow. Legs yellowish brown. Fore tibia with 4 dorsal bristles, of which the upmost is the longest. Dorsal hair palisade of mid tibia extends up to 2/3 of its length. Hind tibia without dorsal isolated bristles. Posterior face of hind femur with 2 peg-like bristles, which are very long and blunt at top, beside them are 2–3 small bristles or hairs, and dorsally with 1–3 hairs just below dorsal edge. Hind coxal lobe hemispheric. Abdomen. Tergite I yellow on anterior half and dark brown on posterior edge. Tergites II–V yellow with brownish lateral region. Tergite VI dark brown with yellowish anterior edge. Venter of abdomen yellow. Terminalia brown, except cercus yellow.
Distribution. China (Zhejiang).
Etymology. The specific epithet refers to the long peg-like bristles on posterior face of hind femur..
Holotype: ♂, Zhejiang, Mt. Tianmu (30°21'N, 119°25'E, 1334m), 30-VI-2013, Lixin Su.
Remarks. The species can be easily distinguished from other species of the genus by its special long peg-like bristles. In Disney's key (1990a), the species runs to couplet 23 to D. caini Disney. However , the new species is easily distinguished by the very long peg-like bristles on posterior face of hind femur.
