21. Dohrniphora dilatata View in CoL sp. nov.
( Figs. 41–42 View FIGURES 41 – 48 , 64 View FIGURES 55 – 68 )
Male: Head. Frons dark brown, wider than height. First row of bristles slightly convex, antials about 2 times as far apart as either is to an antero-lateral. Second row of bristles straight, all four bristles are equidistant. Postpedicels yellowish brown, oval. Palp yellow, swollen, length less than 2 times of its width, with 5 apical bristles and 15–25 hairs on ventral face. Thorax. Scutum and scutellum dark brown. Pleuron brown. Scutellum with 2 bristles and 2 hairs. Wing length 2.21–2.24mm. Costal index 0.50–0.51. Costal ratios 9.25:2.62:1. Costal cilia 0.04–0.05mm. Veins brown and membrane greyish brown. Halter pale yellow. Legs light brown and dark brown on dorsal edge of hind femur. Fore tibia with 4–5 dorsal bristles. Dorsal hair palisade of mid tibia extends over 1/2 (0.55) of its length. Hind tibia without isolated bristles before apical apex. Posterior face of hind femur with about 6 long peglike bristles in irregular single row and without basal process at base of group of peg-like bristles. Microtrichia patch extends from ventral to distal part of group of peg-like bristles. Hind coxal lobe dark brown and rounded with fine hairs. Abdomen. Abdominal tergites uniformly dark brown, with sparse hairs. Venter and Cercus yellowish brown. Terminalia brown.
Distribution. China (Shaanxi).
Etymology. The species name refers to the extensive microtrichia patch on the posterior face of the hind femur.
Holotype. ♂, Shaanxi, Zuoxian(33°41'N, 109°07' E, 1300m), 16-V-2013, Yun-Long Cai; paratype: 1♂, same data as holotype.
Remarks. In Disney’s key (1990a), the species runs to couplet 16 to D. palpapis Borgmeier , but it can be distinguished by the dorsal hair palisade of mid tibia, which extends only 1/3 of its length in the latter species but longer than 1/2 of tibia in D. dilatata . The details of posterior face are also different from each other. In terms of microtrichia patch the new species is similar to D. prescerweberae Liu and D. microtrichina sp. n., but it differs from them by having an inflated palp.
