The Atelestidae View in CoL comprises 15 extant species, divided into two subfamilies and five genera ( Sinclair & Grimaldi 2020). For Chile, only two species belonging to the subfamily Atelestinae View in CoL are known: Acarteroptera recta Collin View in CoL and A. licina Collin ( Smith 1967) View in CoL . There are no recent taxonomic studies on the family.
