Pyrgotidae View in CoL ( Fig. 82 View FIGURES 80–85 )

The Pyrgotidae View in CoL comprises 365 species, grouped into two subfamilies and 55 extant genera ( Korneyev 2021). The Teretrurinae includes five genera and are restricted to southern South America ( Argentina and Chile) and Oceania. The major contributions to the study of pyrgotids were reported by Korneyev (2016a, b) and Korneyev & Norrbom (2006). For Chile, only two genera of Teretrurinae are known: the monotypic genus Pyrgotosoma Malloch View in CoL , ( P. flavida Malloch ), and Teretrura Bigot View in CoL , which includes T. flaveola Bigot View in CoL and T. tinctipennis Malloch ( González et al. 2021c) View in CoL .
