Agromyzidae View in CoL ( Figs. 107–108 View FIGURES 105–110 )
The Agromyzidae View in CoL comprises 3,127 species, grouped into two subfamilies and 16 extant genera ( Lonsdale & von Tschirnhaus 2021). In Chile, Aguilera (1972) studied the biology of Liriomyza langei Frick, Spencer (1964) View in CoL studied agromyzids from the Juan Fernández Islands, and Spencer (1982) revised the family and described 23 new species.
Spencer (1982) published the first records for Chile of Amauromyza Hendel View in CoL , Calycomyza Hendel View in CoL , Galiomyza Spencer View in CoL , Haplopeodes Steyskal View in CoL , and Chromatomyia Griffiths View in CoL , and the family now totals 74 species in 12 genera.
