Adelosoma phragmitidis Borchsenius View in CoL
( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 )
Adelosoma phragmitidis Borchsenius, 1948b: 584 .
DIAGNOSIS. Body of adult female elongate to broadly oval. Antennae short, 6 segmented. Legs well developed, short and slender for size of body. Hind coxa with numerous large translucent pores, these extending anteriorly and posteriorly onto surrounding derm. Recognisable cerarii absent. Ostioles present, poorly developed. Circulus large and hour-glass-shaped. Dorsal groups of slender conical setae present around margins, associated with some slender setae, these extending medially, chiefly across middle of each segment. Ventral surface with slender setae, except for a few conical setae around margins. Dorsal multilocular disc pores situated predominantly at anterior and posterior edges of abdominal segments and in marginal groups forwards to head. Ventral multilocular disc pores similar to those on dorsum, present in a marginal to submarginal zone; also posterior to vulva and across abdominal segments V −VII. Trilocular pores evenly distributed. Ventral oral collar ducts of 2 sizes: large type, on margins of abdomen, and occasional ducts occurring on margins of head and thorax, and a small type, present across middle of abdominal segments VII −IX.
DISTRIBUTION. Oriental, Palaearctic: Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Iran. A. phragmitidis was recorded for Iranian fauna by Kozár et al. (1996); any material of this species has been available for critical study. It is only known on Poaceae (Ben-Dov et al., 2012) .
