( Fig. 48 View FIGURE 48 )

Trabutina elastica Borchsenius, 1936: 111 [Misidentification, according to Borchsenius, 1941: 133]. Trabutina crassispinosa Borchsenius, 1941: 133 .

DIAGNOSIS. Adult female broadly oval to rotund. Antennae 6 segmented. Legs well developed; hind coxa, and sometimes hind tibia, swollen, with translucent pores on coxa. C18 distinguishable from other marginal setal clusters by presence of 4–8 conical setae with narrowed base, absence of filamentous setae, and without a concentration of trilocular pores; C17 and C16 also sometimes distinguishable. Both pairs of ostioles present. Multilocular disc pores dorsally present on metathorax and all abdominal segments; on venter, present across metathorax, posteriorly to abdominal segment VII and posterior to vulva. Body setae becoming increasingly short anteriorly; with 14−25 long setae surrounding anal ring. Trilocular pores most abundant on dorsum near posterior apex of abdomen, but absent from lateral areas of anterior abdominal segments; most abundant on thorax near segmental lines, becoming increasingly abundant near anterior ostiole and on head. Ventrally, trilocular pores absent from abdomen except on anterior edges of segments II −VIII, and near legs, spiracles, mouthparts and antennae. Oral collar ducts on dorsum present medially on abdomen, gradually increasing in size laterally, abundant over surface, most numerous on anterior abdomen and on meta- and mesothorax; ventrally, abundant on submarginal and marginal areas of abdomen, becoming increasingly less frequent on thorax and head, Discoidal pores present on dorsum, in small numbers over surface, most numerous anteriorly on abdomen and on meso- and metathorax; ventrally, most abundant submarginally.

DISTRIBUTION. Palaearctic: Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iran, Mongolia, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkey and Turkmenistan. In Iran, T. crassispinosa occurs in Ardebil and Kermanshah. Only known on Tamaricaceae (Ben-Dov et al., 2012) .

MATERIAL EXAMINED. Ardebil: Dasht -e Mogan, Bilesavar, Germi, 4 adult Ƥ, on Tamarix sp. ( Tamaricaceae ), 21.vii.2009 (Manzari & Haji Esmailian). Torabi et al. (2010) also recorded this species from Kermanshah.
