Gnathosoma 20 (19–22), projecting obliquely down, pedipalp coxal setae (ep) 2 (1–2), dorsal pedipalp genual setae (d) 4 (4–5), chelicerae 17 (15–17), oral stylets 15 (14–15). Prodorsal shield 41 (40–42), 42 (38– 43) wide; sub hexagonal; frontal lobe present; admedian and submedian lines present. Dorsal tubercles ahead of rear margin, 11 (9–12) apart, scapular setae (sc) 5 (4–5) projecting centrad. Coxal area smooth; anterolateral setae on coxisternum І (1b) 6 (6–7), proximal setae on coxisternum І (1a) 14 (13–16), proximal setae on coxisternum І (2a) 25 (23–27). Prosternal apodeme present. Legs with usual series of setae. Legs І 29 (27– 31), femur 8 (8–9), basiventral femoral setae (bv) 7 (7–9); genu 4 (4–5), antaxial genual setae (l'') 20 (19–21); tibia 8 (7–8), paraxial tibial setae (l') 3 (3–4), setae located 1/3 from dorsal base; tarsus 5 (5–6); tarsal empodium simple, 4-rayed, tarsal solenidion knobbed. Legs І 24 (23–25), femur 6 (6–7), basiventral femoral setae (bv) 12 (10–13); genu 3 (3–4), antaxial genual setae (l'') 4 (4–5); tibia 6 (5–6); tarsus 5 (5–6); tarsal empodium simple, 4-rayed, tarsal solenidion knobbed. Opisthosoma: dorsal opisthosoma with 23 (21–27) annuli, with filament microtubercles laterally, ventrally with 50 (48–56) microtuberculate annuli. Setae c2 12 (10–13) on ventral annulus 8 (7–8); setae d 42 (40–45) on ventral annulus 21 (20–23); setae e 6 (5–6) on ventral annulus 33 (31–34), setae f 18 (16–18) on 6th ventral annulus from rear. Setae h1 2 (2–3). Female genitalia 15 (15– 16) long, 20 (19–20) wide, coverflap with 12 longitudinal ridges and a few granules basally, proximal setae on coxisternum ІІ (3a) 14 (13–16).
MALE: Unknown.
Types. Holotype, female, China: Guangdong Province, Shaoguan City, 24°48.31’N, 113°37.62’E. September 5, 2004, from Ficus microcarpa L. f. ( Moraceae ), coll. Xue, Xiao-Feng. Paratypes, 8 females, with the same data as holotype.
Relation to host. Vagrant on leaf surface. No damage to the host was observed.
Etymology. The specific designation microcarpae is from the specific epithet of type host plant, microcarpa .
Remarks. This species is similar to Epitrimerus lobatiae Huang, 2001 a, but can be differentiated by the presence of submedian lines (submedian lines absent in E. lobatiae ), coxal area smooth (coxal area with granules in E. lobatiae ), tarsal empodium 4-rayed (tarsal empodium 5-rayed in E. lobatiae ).
