Distribution: NY to south FL to eastern TX to KS, with records extending as far south as Costa Rica. Kentucky collections are nearly statewide (Map 005).

Larval host plants: Acer , Annona muricata , Betula , Carya , Castanea , Cedrela mexicana , Cercis canadensis , Celtis , Fagus ferruginea , Ficus , Prosopis juliflora , Quercus , Tilia americana and Ulmus ( Monné & Nearns 2022d)

Chemical lures: (E / Z)-fuscumol + acetate ( Hanks & Millar 2013) (a component of the Ray lab lure blend)

Comments: Attracted to lights. Can be collected from dead hardwood tree trunks.
