Distribution: Eastern NY to south FL to AZ to IA. Most Kentucky records are from the western three quarters of the state (Map 050).

Larval host plants: Carya , Castanea , Celtis , Juglans nigra , Prunus and Quercus ( Linsley & Chemsak 1997)

Comments: Attracted to lights and fermenting sugar and can be collected by peeling bark from downed host logs.
