Distribution: SC to central FL to northeastern Mexico north to KS. The two Kentucky specimens were collected from the Interior Plateau (Map 057).

Larval host plants: Acacia spp. , Celtis , Citrus , Condalia obovata , Diospyros texana , Prosopis glandulosa , Sapindus drummondii , Zanthoxylum fagara ( Linsley & Chemsak 1997)

Comments: This species is restricted to a more southern distribution than E. pini & E. picipes and is much more abundant in the southwestern part of its range. Only two Kentucky specimens were recorded, with the same number recorded for TN ( Klingeman et al. 2017).
