Krisna sherwilli Distant 1908: 299 View in CoL . Lectotype ♂ here designated, Bangladesh: Sylhet [BMNH, examined].
Vertex, pronotum, scutellum reddish ochraceous. Anterior margin of vertex bright reddish brown. Forewings golden yellow with piceous spot at base of brownish appendix. Hind wings hyaline, fuliginous. Scutellum with brown tinge. Abdomen dorsally reddish brown.
Vertex anteriorly evenly rounded, medially slightly longer than next to eyes. 2.3 times as long as interocular distance. Pronotum 3 times longer than head, 1.8 times as wide as head. Scutellum slightly longer than pronotum.
Eighth sternite broader than long with rounded caudal lateral margins, covered with sparse stout setae medially, hairlike setae laterally. Abdominal apodemes not well developed.
Male genitalia: Pygophore heavily setose, large setae intermixed with slender short setae. Ventral process shorter than pygophore, curved dorsally, apically pointed, with lateral rimlike thickening before apex. Subgenital plates elongate, narrow, with long hairlike setae along lateral margin. Style elongate, narrow apophysis curved dorsally with truncate apex, ventral angle slightly produced. Aedeagal shaft constricted in apical 0.25 then expanded, ventral margin perceptibly concave in apical 0.25, gonopore distally membranous projecting out of normal curve of aedeagal shaft.
Measurements: Male 8.00 mm long (excluding forewings), wing expanse 20.00 mm, 2.30 mm wide across eyes, 2.70 mm wide across hind margin of pronotum.
Material examined: Bangladesh: Lectotype ď here designated labelled, “ Type H.T.” [red margin circular label], Krisna sherwilli Dist. Type ” [handwritten label], “Chandkhira, Sylhet, Sherwill” [printed label] and “Distant Coll. 1911–383” ( BMNH).
Remarks: Among the species of Krisna form the subcontinent, K. sherwilli can be recognized by the peculiar pygophore process and by the shape of the aedeagus.
