Lyteriides Lacordaire, 1865: 249 [stem: Lyteri-]. Type genus: Lyterius sensu Lacordaire, 1865 [not Lyterius Schönherr, 1844; syn. of Tonesia Casey, 1922]. Comment: based on a misidentified type genus, name treated here as invalid until an application is submitted to the Commission to suppress it for the Principle of Priority (Art. 65.2.1).

Tonesiina Alonso-Zarazaga and Lyal, 1999: 95 [stem: Tonesi-]. Type genus: Tonesia Casey, 1922. Comment: although this is not the oldest name for the subtribe, we recommend that an application be submitted to the Commission to suppress Lyteriini Lacordaire, 1865 because it is based on a misidentified type genus (Art. 65.2.1).
