Description. Adult. Colouration. Head and thorax dirty whitish to ochreous, with dark brown pattern. Vertex with a large patch in the middle of each half, a longitudinal streak along the midline, and each a transverse line near and at the foremargin, respectively. Antennal insertions and eyes with dark margins. Clypeus light in the middle, brown otherwise. Antenna whitish, with apices of segments 4, 6 and 8 as well as entire segments 1, 8 and 9 dark brown. Thorax with a fine dark line in the middle and two broader dark lines sublaterally. Legs dirty whitish with dark brown dots. Forewing semi-transparent, light yellowish with brown dots covering the whole membrane; wing membrane along apical margin light brown, with dark dots denser ( Figs 2 View FIGURES 1 – 7 , 10 View FIGURES 8 – 21 ). Apices of veins Rs, M1+2, M3+4, Cu1a and Cu1b with a dark dot each. Hindwing semi-transparent, whitish. Abdomen yellowish, with dark brown sclerites; terminalia ochreous, brown at base. Young specimens with less extended dark colour.
Structure. Vertex ( Figs 38 View FIGURES 36 – 49 , 52 View FIGURES 50 – 63 ) 1.6 times as wide as long, surface finely punctured; genae evenly curved down; frons small, rectangular. Antenna ( Fig. 66 View FIGURES 64 – 80 ) with one subapical rhinarium on each of segments 4, 6, 8 and 9; segments 5 and 7 slightly thinner than other flagellar segments; relative length of antennal flagellar segments = 1.0/ 0.8/ 0.7/ 0.5/ 0.7/ 0.8/ 0.7/ 0.7; segment 3 shorter than segments 4 and 5 together; segment 10 with longer terminal seta about 1.1 times as long as segment and shorter seta about 0.7 times as long. Clypeus strongly subglobular. Pronotum transverse, long, about 5 times as wide as long. Meso- and metascutellum transverse, weakly raised. Metacoxa ( Fig. 82 View FIGURES 81 – 88 ) with meracanthus small, tubercular and with a conical, weakly curved membranous process on the trochanteral cavity; metatibia with an open crown of 6 apical sclerotised spurs. Forewing ( Figs 2 View FIGURES 1 – 7 , 10 View FIGURES 8 – 21 ) rhomboidal, apex broadly symmetrically rounded; vein C+Sc concave, slender; vein Rs strongly curved backwards; vein M1+2 curved backwards; membrane semi-transparent; surface spinules ( Fig. 24 View FIGURES 22 – 35 ) densely spaced, covering whole wing membrane up to veins; radular spinules forming narrow, ill-defined bands along wing margin in cell m1, m2, and cu1. Terminalia as in Figs 91 View FIGURES 89 – 99 , 104 View FIGURES 100 – 114 , 117 View FIGURES 115 – 127 , 130 View FIGURES 128 – 139 , 142 View FIGURES 140 – 151 . Male subgenital plate, in profile, subrectangular with angular dorsal margin. Paramere with posterior lobe; inner face bearing a group of weakly sclerotised thickened setae. Distal portion of aedeagus weakly inflated apically. Female proctiger cuneate, subacute apically. Subgenital plate sparsely pilose ventrally.
