Enyalioides palpebralis ( Boulenger, 1883)
Type-locality. Cashiboya, Eastern Peru.
Pertinent taxonomic references. Boulenger (1883; 1885), Peters & Donoso-Barros (1970), Ávila-Pires (1995), Torres-Carvajal et al. (2011; 2015), Venegas et al. (2013).
Distribution and habitat. Enyalioides palpebralis is endemic to southwestern Amazonia, with distribution primarily enconpassing the upper Amazon (in Peru), middle/upper Juruá, and Beni river systems, occurring in Brazil and Peru ( Fig. 10 View FIGURE 10 ). Reichle et al. (2004) reported it from Bolivia. In Brazil, it is known from the states of Acre and Amazonas. Enyalioides palpebralis is arboreal and diurnal, inhabits primary terra firme forest, also in forest edges and near water, where it is found on the lower part of tree trunks and stems (generally below 2 meters high), and on the ground ( Ávila-Pires 1995; Schulte 1998; Schlüter et al. 2004; Torres-Carvajal et al. 2011).
