Material examined. Fifteen specimens: California ( USA), LACM-AHF s.n., 4 spec. (33º29–26’N, 118º19– 21’W, San Pedro Channel , 8.8 km off Luria Point, Santa Catalina Island, Velero IV, sta. 1613, spec. on dorsal valve of Cyclopecten , 730–790 m, Oct. 2, 1948); LACM-AHF s.n., 11 spec. (33º486”N, 118º30’39”W, 10 km from Redondo Beach pier, Velero IV sta. 2151, 0.5 cuft grab, large burrow in packed clay, 530 m, Sept. 26, 1952) .

Diagnosis. Tube somewhat rugged, with one longitudinal ridge and two shallow grooves or ridges laterally. Operculum absent. Collar with fin-and-blade chaetae, with several teeth in middle section, with space between denticulate base and limb ( Figs 8B–C). Thoracic membrane wide, forming an apron across abdomen.

Habitat. Depth: 530–790 m. Slope, canyons. On Cyclopecten shells.

Distribution. Only known from southern California ( USA) ( Zibrowius 1969).
