Diagnosis. Species of this group are recognized by following characters: large size (fore wing length: male 13.5– 17.5 mm, female 17.0– 21.5 mm), dorsal carinae of propodeum present on whole length, propodeal valvula with strong longitudinal striae and deep dorsal incision, basal petiole of S1 with sparse transverse striae, prestigma nearly twice as long as pterostigma, male clypeus very narrowly truncated apically and with longitudinal carinae, male vertex bearing an area with differentiated tegument, male mid femur modified in the basal third with strongly depressed ventral side and expanded anteroposteriorly, F 11 in lateral view strongly curved and reaching base of F8, aedeagus with apical part strongly broadened, digitus enlarged and densely setose on whole surface, female clypeus pyriform with coarse punctures and apical depression, female vertex with foveae placed in a crescent-shaped raised area broader than ocellar triangle.
