Type locality: Arizona, Patagonia Mountains, Santa Cruz Co. Type depository: The Field Museum of Natural History ( FMNH).

Material examined: PARATYPES: 18 males, 12 females: Patagonia Mountains, Arizona, VII-2–3, D. J. and J. N. Knull; 1 male, 1 female: Peloncillos Mountains, 33 mi E of Douglas, Arizona, 17-VII-1973, S. McCleve. OTHER MATERIAL: 2 males, 1 female: Mexico, Sonora, Highways 15, 12 mi N of Hermosillo, 14-VIII-1965, G. H. Nelson, on Olneya tesota Gray ; 1 male: Mexico, Jalisco, 22 km SW Llano Grande, 270 m, 28-VI-1995, R. L. Westcott.
