Notes. Macrocheles evansi is knOwn frOm Bulgaria, Crimea ( BalOgh, 1958; BregetOva, 1977) and Turkey (Özbek, 2013). It was first described frOm Bulgaria by BalOgh (1958), and BregetOva (1977) repOrted it frOm Crimea. This species is reliably distinguished frOm the Other cOngeners by smOOth and pOinted setae On the central regiOn Of the dOrsal shield (j6, z6, J2, J5) ( BalOgh, 1958; BregetOva, 1977; Mašán, 2003). The mOrphOlOgical characters Of the Turkish specimens are similar tO the Bulgarian specimens, with One exceptiOn. In the Turkish specimens, setae j6 is mOstly pilOse, rarely smOOth and pOinted. Turkish specimens were described and illustrated by Özbek (2013).
