Lectotype (Moldenke in Phytologia 5: 490. 1955): Herb. Linn. No. 811.8 ( LINN) .

Current name: Vitex negundo L. ( Verbenaceae ).

Note: Jafri & Ghafoor (in Nasir & Ali, Fl. W. Pakistan 77: 27. 1974) indicated 790.8 (LINN) as type but this collection is associated with Buchnera and is not original material for V. negundo .
