Labrundinia Fittkau, 1962 View in CoL
The only record of a Labrundinia from Alaska is Labrundinia pilosella (Loew, 1866) , identified by Roback (1971) from specimens collected during July and August 1963 by a car-top trap near Palmer. Larvae of Labrundinia prefer slow water but are also found in backwater areas or in many fast-flowing streams ( Roback 1987). They are also commonly associated with aquatic vegetation.
