Description (holotype): head missing; antenna of scape pedicel and 14 flagellomeres. Relative length of antennomeres: 21-26-24-24-26-26-28-28-27-24-20-19-17-14-13-17; absolute length: 0.04-0.05-0.05-0.05-0.05-0.05- 0.06-0.06-0.05-0.05-0.04-0.04-0.03-0.03-0.03- 0.03 mm; flagellomeres 5–11 with a pair of digitate ascoids. Palpus four segmented; relative length: 38-41-60-71; absolute length: 0.08-0.08-0.12- 0.14 mm.
Thorax missing. Wing length 2.17 mm, width 0.82 mm; length by width relation: 2.66.
Male terminalia with gonocoxites approximately 3x longer than wide, parameres not discernable; gonostyli almost straight, bent only near tip. Epandrial processes ( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 26–31 ) in lateral view 2x longer than high, with 5–6 feathered tenacula, 3 almost as long as epandrial processes, 2 about half as long.
Description of a T. atlantica specimen from Tunisia: Head with eyebridge of 3 facet rows; distance between eyes 3 facet diameters; with postocular bristles. Antenna with scape, pedicel and 14 flagellomeres; absolute length of antennomeres: 0.040-0.052-0.040-0.040-0.040-0.042-0.042-0.042-0.040-0.036-0.036-0.034-0.034-0.028- 0.026- 0.032 mm; relative length: 20-26-20-20-20-21-21-21-20-18-18-17-17-14-13-16. Flagellomeres 5–11 with a pair of digitiform ascoids. Absolute length of palpus segments: 0.060-0.088- 0.106-0.186 mm; relative length: 30-44-53- 93.
Wing length by width relation 2.61; length 1.86 mm, width 0.71.
Male terminalia with a thin hypandrium with linguiform median extension ( Fig. 26 View FIGURES 26–31 ). Gonocoxite about 3x longer than wide with a long seta at about middle on inner surface. Gonostylus little longer than the gonocoxite, slightly bent.
Parameres with well-developed ventral bridge (pocket shaped oval lobes), median portion not discernable; dorsal parts large inner edges bent.
Aedeagus with basiphallus as long as gonocoxite with darker sclerotization along the mid-line. Ventral lobe curved bipartite; ventral arm connected with the cross distiphallus dorsal arm almost straight; the dorsal lobe is very faint, straight and is distally with a faint sclerite. Distiphallus with a triangular basis connected to the hook shaped ventral basiphallus lobe that is slightly bent apically.
Epandrium rhomboid with 2 foramina, epandrial processes with 6 tenacula, 3 long and 3 short on one side, 2 long and 4 short on the other side ( Fig. 27 View FIGURES 26–31 ).
Distribution: Algeria, Tunisia.
Remarks: Type specimens from Algeria and specimens from Tunisia obviously belong to the same species, based on the shape of the hypandrium and the aedeagus sclerites.
