Material examined. CHINA, Xinjiang: 1♁, Baihaba, Habahe , 1264 m, 27.VII.2007, leg. XP Wang et al., slide No. ZL 08167 .
Diagnosis. Adult ( Fig. 16 View FIGURES 9‒16 ). Wingspan 15.0 mm. Agonopterix arctica is distinguishable by the small triangular socii in the male genitalia ( Fig. 39 View FIGURES 36‒41 ). It is similar to A. conterminella ( Zeller, 1839) in the male genitalia, and can be distinguished by the cell with neither an arched black stripe at middle nor a white spot on its outer margin. In A. conterminella , the cell has an arched black stripe at middle and has a white spot on the outer margin (Huisman 2012: 84, fig. 12).
Distribution. China (Xinjiang), Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia ( Lvovsky 2001a).
