Diagnosis. Adult ( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 9‒16 ). Wingspan 18.0– 22.5 mm. Agonopterix abditella can be diagnosed by the cuiller curved outward apically and forming a spine at apex ( Fig. 37 View FIGURES 36‒41 ) in the male genitalia, and by the pear-shaped corpus bursae in the female genitalia ( Figs 48, 48a View FIGURES 46‒49 ). It is similar to A. cochleata sp. nov. in male genitalia, and the differences between them are stated in the diagnosis of the latter species.
Distribution. China (Xizang), Russia, Turkey ( Lvovsky 2006; Buchner & Šumpich 2020).
