Comment: The original description is based two females from West Papua ( PACE 2012c); the localities are shown in Map 2 View Map 2 . The status of this species is highly doubtful. An examination of the type specimens revealed that they are highly similar to T. clavatus and distinguished only by the darker coloration of the pronotum and the antennae. The holotype is illustrated in Fig. 159 View Figs 144–159 . However, males from New Guinea would be needed to confirm that they are indeed conspecific with T. clavatus .
