Type Locality: Australia, Western Australia, King George Sound.

Vernacular Names: Gilbert's Potoroo.

Distribution: Southern tip of Western Australia.

Conservation: IUCN – Critically Endangered.

Discussion: Considered a species separate from P. tridactylus by Sinclair and Westerman (1997).
