Euzophera costivittella Ragonot, 1887 View in CoL
Material examined. Russia: 1 ♁, Uzek , 3.v.2022 ; 1 ♁, Astrakhan Province, vill. Dosang , 18.v.2017 ; Kazakhstan: 1 ♁, Mangistau Province, 10 km NE vill. Taushchik, 14.vi.2017 .
Remarks. Yakovlev et al. (2022) reported Euzophera albicostalis (Hampson, 1903) for Dagestan (localities are Sarykum dune and environs of the village Syrtych). This record possibly refers to E. costivittella .
Distribution. Bulgaria, the south of European Russia, Northeast Caucasus (Dagestan), Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Central Asia ( Kuznetzov 1960; Roesler 1973; Plant & Jakšić 2018; Sinev et al. 2022; Sinev & Korb 2022).
Euzopherodes lutisignella ( Mann, 1869) *
Material examined. Russia: 2 ♀, Sirtych , 5.v.2022 ; 1 ♀, Sirtych , 10.v.2022 ; 1 ♀, Chirkei , 22.v.2022 ; Kazakhstan: 1 ♁, 5 ♀, Turkestan Province , Karatau Mts., 3 km NE vill. Baizhansai, 30.vi.2019 ; 1 ♁, 1 ♀, Turkestan Province , canyon of riv. Aksu, 1380 m, 2.vii.2019 .
Remarks. E. lutisignella is common in Dagestan in the foothills and in arid mountain places at altitudes up to 1500 m ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1–4 ). It was also observed near Talgi (27.v.2022) ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1–4 ) and in gulch Uzek (29.v.2022). The collected specimens belong to ssp. liturosella Erschoff, 1874 .
Distribution. Nominative subspecies: North Africa ( Libya), South Europe (Sicily, Romania, Slovenia, Bosnia- Herzegovina, Serbia, Macedonia, Croatia, Albania, Bulgaria, Greece); subspecies liturosella: Middle East, Northeast Caucasus (Dagestan), Transcaucasia, Central Asia ( Roesler 1973; Karsholt & Razowski 1996; Plant & Jakšić 2018).
Ancylosis aspilatella ( Ragonot, 1887) *
Material examined. Russia: 1 ♁, Tarumovka , 16.vi.2022 ; 1 ♀, Volgograd Province, Lake Bulukhta , 26.v.2017 ; 1 ♁, 2 ♀, Astrakhan Province, 18 km NE vill. Dosang, 25, 26.v.2016 ; 1 ♁, Astrakhan Province, 23 km NE vill. Khosheutovo, 25.vi.2016 .
Remarks. The species was listed in the catalogue of the Lepidoptera of Russia (Sinev et al., 2022), but marked with a question sign for the South Urals, probably basing on an old record by Caradja (1916) for the Emba River (territory of Kazakhstan). We confirm the presence of A. aspilatella in Russia, reporting this species for Lower Volga (Astrakhan and Volgograd Provinces) and Dagestan.
Distribution. North Africa, Middle East, Russia (Lower Volga, Dagestan), Central Asia ( Kuznetzov 1960; Roesler 1973; Asselbergs 2010; Akın et al. 2021).
