Diagnosis. This is a small, oval species with the pronotal base truncate, closely apposing the elytral base which is also truncate. The dorsal surface is sparsely setose. The profemora are unarmed in both sexes. Length: 10–11 mm.

Distribution. Occurs in counties of the coastal bend. It has also been collected in Cameron County, Louisiana. Horn’s type came from ‘‘ Texas.’’
