Material examined.
Holotype: female, Indonesia, Sulawesi N, Dumoga Bone National Park , 4.vi.1985, genit. prep. 4466 M. Fibiger. Coll. BMNH.
Diagnosis.
Wingspan: 10 mm.
Forewing: narrow, light brown, dark brown on both sides of terminal line.
Transverse lines: indistinct, brown; terminal line marked by black dots between veins.
Reniform: distinct, small, whitish grey, outlined by brown.
Fringes: coloured like terminal area.
Hindwing: unicolorous brown with an indistinct black discal spot.
Underside: unicolorous brown.
Female genitalia.
7 th abdominal segment: heavily sclerotised; asymmetrical.
Anterior apophyses: length 1½ of posterior apophyses.
Position of ostium bursae: anteriorly on 7 th segment, close to 6 th segment, slightly displaced to left.
Antrum: very short; basally with a narrow, curved heavily sclerotised area.
Ductus bursae: coiling in several loops; membranous, long, 3½ X longer than corpus bursae.
Corpus bursae: globular.
Appendix bursae: arising anteriorly from ductus bursae immediately after antrum.
Differential diagnosis.
P. kononenkoi differs from other species by the very short, cylindrical, slightly curved antrum.
