Material examined.
Holotype: female, Philippines, Mindanao , Sapamoro , Curuan district, caught in Malaise-trap, 21.xi.1961, leg. Noona Dan Exp. 1961-62, genit. prep. 3533 M. Fibiger. Coll. ZMUC.
Diagnosis.
Wingspan: 8 mm.
Forewing: narrow, light brown.
Transverse lines: black; terminal line marked by black dots between veins.
Reniform: distinct, whitish grey, outlined by black.
Hindwing: unicolorous grey brown with an indistinct black discal spot.
Underside: unicolorous grey brown.
Female genitalia.
7 th abdominal segment: heavily sclerotised.
Anterior apophyses: length 1½ of posterior apophyses.
Position of ostium bursae: anteriorly on 7 th segment, close to 6 th, slightly displaced to left.
Antrum: cone-like, narrow and heavily sclerotised posteriorly.
Ductus bursae: membranous, long, 2½ X longer than corpus bursae.
Corpus bursae: globular.
Appendix bursae: arising anteriorly from ductus bursae immediately after antrum.
Differential diagnosis.
P. mindanaoi differs from other species by the basal cone-like antrum and the anterior cylindrical part.
