Disca tegali View in CoL Fibiger, new species
( Plate 4 View PLATE 4 , figure 5; female genit. plate 23, figure 2)
Material examined.
Holotype: female, [ Indonesia, Java C, Tegal district ], Java, Tegal, Kemenjlu, Illing, genit. prep. 3910 M. Fibiger. Coll. RMNB.
Diagnosis.
Wingspan: 12 mm.
Forewing: relatively broad, ground colour yellowish brown.
Transverse lines: brown, indistinct, except subterminal and terminal lines, which are marked by black dots; basal, antemedial, postmedial, and subterminal lines well marked by a black spot by costa.
Reniform: elongated, black.
Hindwing: greyish brown.
Underside: unicolorous greyish brown.
Abdomen: brown.
Female genitalia.
Ovipositor: quadrangular.
Anterior apophyses: shorter than posterior apophyses.
8 th abdominal segment: very narrow, ventrally fused with 7 th segment.
7 th abdominal segment: heavily sclerotised; position of ostium in posterior middle of segment; without processes or pouches.
6 th segment: posterior part of segment heavily sclerotised and fused with 7 th segment; anterior part of 6 th segment less sclerotised – similar to rest of abdomen.
Antrum: 3 X longer than wide, tapered; ventral and dorsal sides straight.
Ductus bursae: membranous, 1½ X as long as corpus bursae.
Appendix bursae: arises at posterior end of ductus bursae.
Corpus bursae: relatively large and globular.
Differential diagnosis.
In the female genitalia of D. tegalia the antrum is longer than those of D. parajavai and D. arborita , but similar in length to those of D. paulum and D. thailandi ; however, the antrum in the latter two species is differently shaped; in D. paulum the antrum is bent both on the dorsal and ventral sides, whereas in D. thailandi it is invaginated on the dorsal side, and straight on the ventral side.
