Material examined.
Holotype: female, Indonesia, Sumatra North, Huta Padang (Asahan), River Silau , 48 km SE Pematang Siantar, near Sialangomar , 220 m, 13.ii.2002, leg., and genit. prep. 4529 M. Fibiger. Coll. MF, to be deposited in ZMUC.
Diagnosis.
Wingspan: 12 mm.
Forewing: relatively broad.
Transverse lines: brown; antemedial and postmedial lines well marked throughout; basal, antemedial, postmedial, and subterminal lines well marked by a black spot by costa; terminal line marked by black, elongated dots.
Reniform: elongated, black.
Hindwing: light brown.
Underside: unicolorous light brown.
Abdomen: brown.
Female genitalia.
Ovipositor: quadrangular.
Anterior apophyses: shorter than posterior apophyses.
8 th abdominal segment: very narrow, ventrally fused with 7 th segment.
7 th abdominal segment: heavily sclerotised; ostium in middle of segment; without processes or pouches.
6 th segment: posterior part of segment heavily sclerotised and fused with 7 th segment; anterior part of 6 th segment less sclerotised – similar to rest of abdomen.
Antrum: short, as wide as long, constricted subbasally.
Ductus bursae: membranous, 2 X as long as corpus bursae.
Appendix bursae: arises at posterior end of ductus bursae.
Corpus bursae: relatively large and globular.
Differential diagnosis.
In the female genitalia of D. parajavai the antrum is slightly longer than that of D. javai ; those of D. tegali , D. paulum , and D. thailandi are much longer.
