Pollex (Bilobiana) angustiae View in CoL Fibiger, new species
( Plate 8 View PLATE 8 , figure1; male genit. plate 17, figure 6)
Material examined.
Holotype: male, Indonesia, Sumatra, Padang, Panjang , 29.viii.1981, leg. E. Diehl, genit. prep. 4650 M. Fibiger. Coll. MF, to be deposited in ZMUC.
Diagnosis.
Wingspan: 11 mm.
Forewing: narrow, light brown.
Transverse lines: antemedial line brown; postmedial and subterminal lines black; terminal line marked by black dots between veins.
Reniform: distinct, whitish grey, outlined by black.
Hindwing: unicolorous light brown with an indistinct black discal spot.
Underside: unicolorous light brown.
Male genitalia.
Tegumen: narrow.
Vinculum: short, stout.
Saccus: U-shaped, short.
Fultura superior: T-shaped with asymmetrical length of arms, fused with upper middle pert of tegumen and ventrally with juxta-anellus; where three arms meet, a finger-like, ventrally directed, apically pointed, bent process arises.
Valve: shorter than wide.
Ampulla: almost symmetrical, long, stick-like; densely setose with long hair-like setae bent inwards. (The preparation illustrated is unfortunately broken medially on both sides).
Pollex : very long, narrow, equally broad throughout, right one a little broader; subapically densely setose with long, hair-like setae bent inwards.
Digitus: long, narrow, tapered, curved, directed ventrally, apically pointed.
Juxta-anellus plate: elongated, higher than wide.
Phallus: long, strongly curved, slightly tapered towards apex; coecum long and narrow.
Vesica: with a small, straight, spine-like cornutus.
Differential diagnosis.
P. angustiae differs from other species by the very narrow and almost symmetrical digitus, ampulla, and pollex, and the strongly curved phallus.
