Material examined.

Holotype: female, Philippines, [Luzon], Los Banos, leg. Baker, 1917-79, genit. prep. 3392 M. Fibiger. Coll. USNM.

Paratypes: 6 females with same data as holotype. Colls. MF, USNM .

Diagnosis.

Wingspan: 12 mm.

Forewing: narrow, blackish brown.

Transverse lines: black; terminal line marked by black dots between veins.

Reniform: distinct, whitish grey, outlined by black.

Hindwing: unicolorous grey brown with an indistinct black discal spot.

Underside: unicolorous grey brown.

Female genitalia.

7 th abdominal segment: heavily sclerotised, asymmetrical.

Anterior apophyses: length 1½ of posterior apophyses.

Position of ostium bursae: a little below middle of 7 th segment, slightly displaced to left.

Ostium bursae: large, heavily sclerotised.

Antrum: broad, bent, heavily sclerotised.

Ductus bursae: coils in several loops, membranous, long, slightly longer than corpus bursae.

Corpus bursae: elongated, very long; only slightly wider subapically.

Appendix bursae: arising anteriorly from ductus bursae immediately after antrum.

Differential diagnosis.

P. poguei differs from the species above by the bent antrum, coiling ductus bursae, and the very long corpus bursae.
