Transversotrema View in CoL sp. B
A survey at the Maldives found specimens of transversotrematids similar to T. licinum from two Lutjanus bohar . Sequences were obtained from specimens from one of these fish and analysis revealed that these parasites are genetically different from all others, but they are most similar to T. cardinalis n. sp. from Lizard Island which also infects L. bohar among other species. As no morphological specimens were available we were unable to describe this species.
