Type material. Holotype, male, Cucphuong National Park, Ninhbinh Province, 24.IV. 2006, 450 m ( Y.S. Bae & X.V. Le).
Diagnosis: The species is similar to S. phyllochlora Meyrick in wing pattern, but it can be distinguished from the latter by its broader forewing and by the its median fascia narrower at the middle. The male genitalia are very similar to those of S. phyllochlora Meyrick , but it can be distinguished from the latter by the length of the socii, about 1/2 the length of the tegumen in S. cucphuongensis , and about 1/3 length of the tegumen in S. phyllochlora Meyrick (Diakonoff 1973) .
Description: ( Fig. 19 View FIGURES 19 – 20 ). Wingspan 16–18 mm. Head: Rough scaled, pale grayish-green mixed with golden yellow. Antenna dark fuscous, blackish on upper surface. Labial palpus porrect, second segment slightly curved and dilated by dorsal scale tuft, outer surface dark-green. Thorax: Pale grayish-green; foreleg grayish, femur grayish brown mixed with black scales, tarsi fuscous with grayish rings at apex of each subsegment; mesothoracic leg with femur gray brown, tibia fuscous, with thornlike scales, tarsi fuscous, with pale gray brown rings at apex of each subsegment; metathoracic leg fuscous with dark fuscous tibial spurs, tibia with long brown-black hair scales in male, tarsi fuscous with grayish rings at apex of each subsegment. Forewing broadened distally; costa gently curved throughout; ground color light green with purplish-ferruginous, blackish spots scattered from base to R4; markings ferruginous with a purplish tinge; five pairs of bluish gray strigulae from r1 to r4; basal fascia gray-bronze and with scattered blackish scales, small dorso-postbasal spot in black color; submedian interfascia pale green; median fascia well-defined with deep green and mixed with black, straightly extending from Sc to dorsum before 1A+2A, but abruptly narrowed at middle, triangular angulated, on dorsum forming a triangular spot, costal margin of median fascia suffused with grayish blue at middle, dorsal margin well-defined throughout and tolerably straight; a blackish dot in apex; preterminal spot large, ferruginous–purplish, subcircular, lower partly obliterate. Hindwing glossy dark fuscous-bronze, becoming paler towards base. Underside concolorous with forewing underside. Abdomen: Male genitalia ( Fig. 20 View FIGURES 19 – 20 ) with tegumen high, narrowed towards apex, erecte-subtriangular. Uncus well defined, subtriangular, apex with weakly haired. Socius about 1/2 length of tegumen, slender, slightly narrowed at middle, weakly bristled at apex clavate. Valva complicated with large basal opening, narrowed at middle, densely haired throughout, especially along ventral of cucullus; sacculus well-defined with an angular prominence, ventral process rounded, with long bristles along ventral margin; cucullus being prominent triangularly at ventral side, crowned with a hook bristle at top, strong spines along ventral margin, dense long hairs throughout towards top, apex rounded. Aedeagus lightly sclerotized, long, and curved. Female Unknown.

Host plants: Unknown.
Distribution: Vietnam (Ninhbinh, Hanoi).
Etymology: The species name cucphuongensis is derived from the type locality, Cucphuong National Park.
