Pachypoda Carvalho & China, 1951: 688 View in CoL (original description). Type species Eccritotarsus vultuosus Distant, 1893: 440 . Original designation.
Diagnosis. Body brown to black with yellow to red areas. Frons convex and rounded. Vertex flat, not curved posteriorly, without median sulcus. Eyes not expanded laterally nor curved posteriorly in dorsoposterior view of head; eyes emarginate. Pronotum impunctate. Labium length reaching half of hind coxae. Hemelytron with lateral margins straight ( Carvalho & China 1951; Carvalho & Ferreira 1995).
Comments. This is the first record of this genus in Colombia.
