Common name: Pr: Mahi-e noghreyi, En: Sunbleak, Belica, Moderlieschen.
Diagnosis: Lateral line incomplete with about 8–12 pored scales or sometimes absent, scaled ventral keel between pelvic origin and anus, mouth superior, A small fish with large silvery scales and an inconspicuous intense silvery band along each side. Dorsal fin smaller than anal fin.
Meristic characters: D: II–III (III) 7–10, A: III– IV (III) 9–17, P: 11–13, V: 7–8, GR: 13–14, LL: 36–53, TV: 36–37.
Distribution: Caspian Sea basin ( Fig. 250). Found in Anzali Wetland.
Taxonomy: Berg (1949) placed in Leucaspius .
Conservation: IUCN: Least Concern ( Freyhof and Kottelat 2008s).
