Carnarvoncochlea carnarvonensis ( Ponder & Clark, 1990) View in CoL

Jardinella carnarvonensis Ponder & Clark, 1990: 333 View in CoL , figs. 6D, 9D, 27D–F, 28F, 29B–E, 30C–E; Perez et al. 2005: 547 (C.400125).

Remarks. The type specimens of this species were collected in small side creek flowing into the main Canarvon Gorge on the western side of the Great Divide in mid-western Queensland west of Bundaberg ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ). Additional records are from some additional small creeks and in seepages in Moss Garden (25° 03' 00" S, 148° 12' 00" E) in a small side gorge off Hell Hole Gorge, a western side arm of the main Carnarvon Gorge, and in a few other and in a few other springs and seepages in that gorge.

FIGURE 1. Map of the spring supergroups associated with the Great Artesian Basin (GAB) in Queensland, showing the main non-town locations mentioned in the text (squares) and some of the towns in the area (ovals). The pale grey shading is the discharge part of the GAB, the dark grey the recharge part. The inset map of Australia shows the area illustrated. The approximate location of Conondale is indicated by a triangle and Nundle by a star. The spring supergroups are outlined with dotted lines and are as follows: A, Mulligan River; B, Springvale; C, Flinders River; D, Hughenden; E, Barcaldine (see inset at upper right for details); F, Springsure; G, Eulo.
