NEW MATERIAL EXAMINED. — New Caledonia proper. HALIPRO 1: stn CP 854, 21°40’S, 166°38’E, 650-780 m, 1 dd GoogleMaps .

DISTRIBUTION. — Global distribution: Philippines, live in 820- 100 m, Indonesia, live in 980-1080 m, New Caledonia, live in 720 m, Madagascar (Scarabino 1995), and Vanuatu and Fiji (unpublished). Distribution in the New Caledonian region: northern (Belep Islands) and southeastern New Caledonia, live in 720 m.

REMARKS. — Compressidentalium elizabethae (Lamprell & Healy, 1998: 91, figs 92A, 93A, 94) is a closely related species but with less strongly sculptured ribs.
