TYPE LOCALITY. — Southwest coast of New Caledonia, Passe de St Vincent, 22°03’S, 165°56’E, 450-600 m [BATHUS 4: stn DW 883] GoogleMaps .

MATERIAL EXAMINED. — New Caledonia proper. BATHUS 4: stn DW 883, Passe de St Vincent , 22°03’S, 165°56’E, 450- 600 m, 1 lv (holotype MNHN 20102 View Materials ), 5 dd (paratypes MNHN 20103 View Materials ) GoogleMaps .

Vanuatu. MUSORSTOM 8: stn DW 1065, 16°16’S, 167°°21’E, 360-419 m, 3 dd (paratypes MNHN 20104); stn DW 1113, 14°53’S, 167°06’E, 700-736 m, 12 dd (4 paratypes MNHN 20105).

DISTRIBUTION. — Southwest coast of New Caledonia: Passe de St Vincent; Vanuatu; live in 450-600 m, shells to 700 m.

DESCRIPTION. — Shell up to 6 mm long, slender, fragile, translucent in fresh specimens, grayish-white in long-dead specimens, regularly curved. Circular in section. Apex and mouth simple. Subapical callus thick.

Measurements of holotype: L 6, W 0.9, w 0.6, arc 0.2.

REMARKS. — Compared to Pulsellum thomassini Scarabino, 1995 , the other species of Pulsellum recorded from the area, the present species is more slender.

ETYMOLOGY. — Named after Ferdinand Stoliczka, the author of the genus.
