Vernacular Names: Argentine Tuco-tuco.

Distribution: Formosa, Chaco, Santiago del Estero, and Santa Fe Provinces (NC Argentina).

Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).

Discussion: See Contreras and Berry (1985) for distribution. Karyotype has 2n=44 and FN=50-52 (Giménez et al., 1997; Ortells et al., 1990).
