Diagnosis. Postocular bristles (including posteroventral hairs) black. Antennal segment three wider than long ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 5 – 7 ). Hind tibia with four ad, 7–8 pd and 2– 3 v.

Description. MALE. Body length 2.8 mm, wing length 2.8 mm.

Head dark metallic green with gray-brown pollen; face with pale gray pollen. Hairs and bristles of head black; postocular bristles (including posteroventral hairs) black. Ocellar tubercle weakly raised, with two strong oc and two short posterior hairs. Antenna blackish; the third antennal segment ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 5 – 7 ), apically with a distinct lower corner; arista blackish, long, with short blackish hairs. Proboscis blackish with black hairs; palpus black with black hairs and 1 black apical bristle.

Thorax dark metallic green with gray pollen; pleuron brownish, with pale gray pollen. Hairs and bristles of thorax black; six strong dc, 6–7 irregularly paired acr; humerus with one long bristle and one short hair; one long ph, one somewhat short ih, one short su, one long anterior and one somewhat short posterior npl, one somewhat short anterior and one long posterior sa, one long psa; scutellum with two pairs of bristles. Propleuron with one short blackish hair and one black bristle on lower portion.

Legs yellow; coxae dark yellow except mid coxa with posterior upper corner blackish; mid and hind tarsi brownish. Hairs and bristles on legs black; fore coxa with 4–6 anterior bristles, mid coxa with one anterior bristle, hind coxa with one outer bristle at middle part. Mid and hind femora each with one preapical bristle. Fore tibia apically with three short bristles; mid tibia with two ad and two pd, apically with four bristles; hind tibia with four ad, 7–8 pd and 2– 3 v, apically with three bristles. Fore tarsomere 1 with row of v, hind tarsomere 1 with two strong v at base and a basal spur curved upward. Relative lengths of tibia and tarsomeres LI 4.7: 2.8: 1.8: 1.5: 1.1: 0.8; LII 6.3: 3.5: 1.9: 1.7: 1.1: 0.7; LIII 7.2: 1.8: 3.0: 2.0: 1.4: 0.7.

Wing ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 5 – 7 ) hyaline, tinged with grayish; veins dark brown, R4+5 and M1 parallel apically; CuAx ratio 0.43. Calypter blackish with black hairs. Halter brownish.

Abdomen metallic green with gray-brown pollen except lateral margin yellow-brown; hairs and bristles black.

Genitalia ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 5 – 7 ): epandrium without distinct lateral tubercle, but with two long lateral bristles; surstylus on epandrium with dorsal lobe long and curved, swollen apically, middle lobe slender with apical hairs, ventral lobe short with apical hairs; cercus with distinct basal tubercle bearing hairs; hypandrium symmetrical in ventral view, with a deep V-shaped apical incision; aedeagus long, apically with two finger-like lateral lobes and 1 acute process.

FEMALE. Unknown.

Type material. Holotype male, Guangdong: Ruyuan county, 0 9. V. 2004, Patrick Grootaert.

Distribution. Guangdong.

Etymology. The specific epithet derives from the type locality Guangdong.

Comments. The species is similar to N. taiwanensis (Wang et Yang) in having the antennal segment three wider than long, but it may be separated by the hind tibia with four ad, 7–8 pd and 2– 3 v, and the cercus with distinct basal tubercle. In N. taiwanensis , the hind tibia has two ad and three pd, but no v; the cercus just has a weak basal tubercle ( Wang and Yang, 2004).
