Type locality. Santiago del Estero, Argentina. Torres (1959) added Suncho Corral for a more specific type locality.

Remarks. The species was reported from Santiago del Estero Province ( Torres 1959), and we reported the species from La Rioja Province without location ( Sanborn et al. 2004). We collected the species in La Rioja and Santiago del Estero Provinces. It is associated with the Monte floristic province ( Sanborn et al. 2011a).
