Type locality. Panama.

Remarks. Distant (1892) listed Panama as habitat for the species. The reference to Argentina came in Metcalf (1963c) as a mistake when reading the table on page 55 of Distant’s article. Distant only makes reference to Panama for the species. A similar mistake appears to have been made in the same paper with respect to Proarna bergi inadvertently being attributed to Colombia in Metcalf’s catalog ( Sanborn 2010a).
