Iseropus is a small genus with nine species in Holarctic and Neotropical regions. Three species occur in the Nearctic region (one of them also occurs in the Palaearctic region), two species were described from Costa Rica, and two species are restricted to South America. One species is known from Mexico.
Species of the genus are gregarious ectoparasitoids in cocoons of various Lepidoptera , especially Lasiocampidae , Lymantriidae and Tortricidae .
