Smerinthothrips vitivorus Priesner, 1935: 364 View in CoL . Replacement name for claripennis Moulton, 1928a not claripennis Karny, 1916
Described from Taiwan on Vitex sp. , this is the second Liothrips species from China that has no CPS on abdominal tergite I. The first one, L. heptapleuricola View in CoL , has several pairs of small setae posterolaterally on the pelta ( Fig. 72 View FIGURES 69–79 ).
