Rubus fruticosus var. caesius View in CoL (L.) Fiori (1898: 580).

Distribution in Armenia: in all floristic regions. In broad-leaved forests, shrubberies, alongside river banks, as a weed in gardens, along roads, on rocky screes, at an altitude of 500–2100 m above sea level.

Phenology: Flowering May–July; fruiting July–September.

General distribution: Caucasus, Europe, Siberia, Far East, northwest China, west Himalaya, northwest Africa, southwest Arabian Peninsula.

Some variations of R. caesius samples, collected from different regions of Armenia, in the pubescence of the leaves from green with a small number of hairs to velvety-pubescent below, as well as in the length of sepals are observed. The leaf size of plant specimens grow in the shade increases more than twice (ERE 81227, ERE 96384).
